It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Early on this month I knew Christmas was somewhat near but really it did not seem like Christmas would be anytime soon because it was sorta warm on some of the days in the afternoon and there was no snow or anything and even though Christmas music had been playing on the radio since the day after Halloween it was just not feeling like Christmas. But then it snowed only a little and it melted soon after but I started thinking about Christmas and past Christmas' and all that and began to get into the Christmas mood! I began thinking about all the people that can be so stressed out and unhappy around Christmas time and was like this is supposed to be the happiest time of the year and you are stressing becuase of all the work you have to do for the holidays? Then I thought how easy it is to get in this mind set if we are not careful but I decided I would do all I can not to be like that and have an amazing Christmas maybe even the best Christmas ever! I just love the feeling of Christmas and all the happy people around you and the beautiful decorations and a nice blanket of snow instantly making even the most simple landscape look amazing! Ok i'm not so fond of ice on the sidewalks and roads and the chilly weather but everything else is just so amazing! Around the holidays you either see the best of a person or the worst of a person and I decided that I was going to try my best to be the best I can be around the holidays and try to keep it that way!

One of my favorite things about Christmas is all the old and new family traditions! A couple weeks ago we decorated are Christmas tree and even though I love putting the star on the tree I let Kayla do it this year becuase she kept asking me so I was like what the heck I guess she can have a turn this year and me and her decorated the tree! It looks amazing so I took a picture of it to show! Haha and hopefully soon there will be more than one present under the tree! By the way the ornaments are clear glass so you can't see them very well in the picture but they are really there you just have to look!

FCCLA

Ok so it has been a while since I added another entry to this thing but I'm trying to get better! So recently I have been trying to pick a star event to compete in for the FCCLA competition. For those of you who don't know what FCCLA is it is Family Career and Community Leaders of America! It is so much fun and even though you have to work super super super hard to make it to nationals it is so worth it! This past July I went to Nationals in Orlando, Florida! It was a ton of fun and we did so many cool things like SeaWorld, Aquatica, Disney World, and a whole bunch of touring and good food! So both years I have gone guys have competed but I end up being the only one who makes it to nationals but I guess that shows that I worked that much harder on my project and I'm not complaining haha! 1 week 2 guys and 6 girls including are chaperones who are married so pretty much it was me and 5 girls which is good and bad. Haha bad on times that you go out to eat and despite trying to keep it a secret someone spills the beans that its your birthday and this happens... but I guess that life haha someone will eventually find out its your birthday and tell the waitor at and italion restuarant in the Epcot Center. But I must say one of the most rewarding experiences of this trip was going to SeaWorld. It was a ton of fun. I really like animals and stuff and this was just like a really cool and fun place to go! The Shamu show I must say was my favorite though it is so amazing how people and animals can cooperate and do tricks like the one in this picture below its just mind boggling. But one thing that we did that should never be done is go to the Shamu show and get soaking wet and then decide to go on a ride where you explore through the arctic and stuff and they try to make it as real as possible so you go on a ride just like Soarin over California or Soarin over Orlando here but its the arctic and they try to keep the temperature down really low so it feels and looks like your really there. Haha we really wanted to kill ourselves then but then we got out and went on some cool rides like that one Atlantis ride and stuff like that and we were traveling with a photographer as one of our chaperones so we took pictures literally anywhere that she felt like stopping and snapping a coulple pics. So here is one of many many pictures we took at the end of a ride. Haha it was a very exciting and rewarding experience and hey your without your parents for a week! But anyways soon I am going to start studying all this stuff because I am going to be training to possibly be an FCCLA Utah State Officer and maybe a national officer sometime in future! It is really hard but everyone I know that has been one has loved it! So I am going to take a shot at it and I have a pretty big chance as a state officer but it gets tricky when it comes to national officer becuase tons of people all over the nation want to be one but I guess we will just see!
